Design Features
1. Flexibility: Arc and sputtering cathodes, Ion source mounting flanges are standardized for flexible exchange;
2. Versatility: can deposit variety of base metals and alloys; optical coatings, hard coatings, soft coatings, compound films and solid lubricating films on the metallic and non-metallic materials substrates.

The Multi950 machine is a customized multiple functions vacuum deposition system for R&D. With half year’s discussion with Shanghai University’s team leaded by Professor Chen, we finally confirmed the design and configurations to fulfill theirs R&D applications. This system is able to deposit transparent DLC film with PECVD process, hard coatings on tools, and optical film with sputtering cathode. Based on this pilot machine design concept, we have developed 3 other coating systems after then:
1. Bipolar Plate Coating for Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles-RT1200-FCEV
2. Ceramic Direct Plated Copper- RT1200-DPC
3. Flexible Sputtering System- RTSP1200-PCB
These 4 models machine are all with Octal chamber, flexible and reliable performances are extensively used in various applications. It satisfy the coating processes require multi different metal layers: Al, Cr, Cu, Au, Ag, Ni, Sn, SS and many other non-feeromagnetic metals; plus the Ion source unit, efficiently enhance films adhesion on different substrate materials with its plasma etching performance and, the PECVD process to deposit some carbon-based layers.

Horizontal Large Size Arc Vacuum Coating Machine

Large Size High Vacuum PMMA Plastic Aluminum Metallizing Machine

When the customer showed us the finished billboard which they desired to have an alternative coating solutions with PVD method, we realized it’s going to be another innovative application for automotive industry.
The original product has a laminating thin semi-transparent film layer inside, it generated lots wasted film due to the complicated design of LOGOs.
The most important, the film’s peeling is an headache issue some whiles after LED lighting’s heating generation.
To solve this problem, we discussed the possibilities from technical views and made some experiments on original PMMA/PC sheets.
Its turned out to be an excellent result. When come-up to the machine’s design, we overcome key difficulties like how to guarantee the deposited film’s high uniformity-especially the LOGO corners, edges... how to control the thickness, film strong adhesion issue etc.
Thanks to Royal Technology’s R&D team and cleared all these problems successfully. We developed 4 models metallizing system to serve the worldwide coating services centers: South Korea, Mexico, and China domestic.
RTEP6600-C is a cubic deposition chamber which can coat the maximum size of “LINCOLN” BILLBOARD up to 6000mm length.

RTEP2200-T model is tailor designed and made for our South Korean customer, who provides the products for Hyundai Motor Company.
The Max. Diameter of product is up to 2200mm with depth is around 250mm.
With PVD vacuum metallizing technique, the film thickness can be controlled, the coating process is environmentally friendly, an ideal coating solutions to replace the conventional Chrome plating process.

The vacuum deposition chamber’s diameter is up to 3600mm, which can coat max. Part is 3000mm diameter. The main product is for Nissan LOGO on behalf for Japan brands.

Technical Background
After decades of research and development, vacuum coating has been quite a mature film deposition treatment which has a positive prospect applications in various industries. It requires a comprehensive technologies to apply the vacuum coating technique to continuous wires and strips, which can modify the surface characteristics and functions, its significant lightweight performance makes an advantage for artificial intelligence devices.
Types of the existing vacuum coating production line for wires and strips substrates
(1)Separated type
(2) Air-to Air,full continuous coating type
The Air-to Air full continuous coating line is a completed continuous coating process processes which including cleaning pre-treatment in the atmosphere environment, and then the substrates ( strips or wires) enters into the vacuum chamber to get metal films deposited, in then end it back to atmosphere environment again through buffering chambers.
The coating line key structural modules:
A: Substrates (strips or wires) cleaning pre-treatment module
B: Cooling down module
C: Annealing module
D: Film deposition chamber
E: Loop devices and vacuum buffering chamber.
The whole coating line’s structure, operation and control system is more complex, extremely high investment but the advantages of high output and sharping down production cost efficiently make it is very attractive for manufacturers.
